The study was aimed at identifying the coping mechanisms of newly qualified registered nurses as nurse-managers.The study was aimed at identifying the coping mechanisms of newly qualified registered nurses as nurse-managers.Data were collected by means of a self devised questionnaire which was mailed to the registered nurses in their respective working situations. The sample composed of thirty three (33) registered nurses who graduated in 1988. Out of this number only fifteen (15) questionnaires were returned.The results of the study revealed that all the nurses were below the age of thirty (30)years.
The findings revealed that these nurses were very dedicated to their work by considering the patient first in whatever activity they carried out.
